I just built the Hex 2 and connected the batteries. What do I do next? I want to controll it with a PS2 controller. how do I send a program from my computer to the robot how do i do this?
Ok… without knowing the full specs of what you have, or your previous knowledge, I can only really refer you to the tutorials that can be found at lynxmotion.com.
(Check the “Electronic Guides” and the “Assembly Guides” sections under the “Information” tab.)
The walkthroughs there are quite in-depth, and should apply exactly with your needs.
Anything that you can’t find in there, you’ll probably find in the pdf instruction files of your respective electronics.
As to sending a program to your bot, that depends upon your microcontroller (I assume that it’s a Basic Atom?).
Those sort of questions can be best answered by purchasing or downloading the microcontroller’s instruction booklet.
If you’re looking for a ready-to-play hexapod, Lynxmotion probably isn’t for you.
But, if your interested in learning how to build and program a robot, step-by-step, you’ll find no end of help from the other builders here.
Good luck with your project.
Take a look at the tutorial for the EH2. It can be found here. www.basicmicro.com, the manufacturer of the Atom microcontroller. If you have trouble with this we can help, but please be specific with the problem. Saying “it won’t work” is not enough information to provide help. It is also recommended that you follow the tutorial step by step, and not skip parts that you think are not important. If you follow the instructions from top to bottom you will have the robot walking before you even program the Basic Atom processor. Jump into the tutorial and ask if you have trouble with a certain step. So the mechanics are build, the real fun starts now.
