HS-805BB (343 oz. in.) Mega Servo And the SSC-32

I don’t know if this needed to be a whole tread but…

I have a HS-805BB (343 oz. in.) Mega Servo and I need to use it to power an experimental assembly I am finishing up. I want to control it with the SSC-32 and the software Linxmotion sent me. I would like to know if I should hook it to an external powersource because of its current draw. If I should do that, How?

This is probably an old question but I really do not have a lot of free time and I can’t afford to replace fried controller boards… I spend most of my time designing and puttering with the mechanical end of these things.

Thank you for any advice,

It’s not a problem. That servo only draws a little more than one amp. The SSC-32 can handle 30 amps, 15 amps per side. So no problemo.

Thank you for your prompt and friendly response sir.

Now I should probably RTFM…
