I feel like a total noob for even asking this, but what is the name of the connector that would allow me to connect GND, Tx, and Rx . The connector that is on the end of my servos fits perfectly, but I would hate to hack one of my expensive servos for something that probably only costs a few cents from DigiKey. I just don’t know the name of the part.
No problem. We all start some time some where.
Go to servocity.com/html/servo_con … _pins.html They have just the connector you need.
I just hack 2 servo-extender cables together. I admit, its a more expensive solution with a less elegant result (unless you like electrical tape) than getting the right connectors, but you can probably find extension cables at a local RC hobby shop, instead of having to order them over the 'net and wait.
Thank you both for your suggestions. I followed the link provided by sn96, and ordered a couple of their connectors. I found out that these can also be purchased separately from DigiKey.com. It basically consists of a 3 position plastic housing (part# wm2800-nd) and 3 female connection terminals (part# wm2510-nd). Thanks for the servo extension cable hack idea, and I wil probably do this in the future. I got the extension cable hack post AFTER i had ordered the parts from ServoCity. Thank you both for your suggestions.
