This seems like it would be an awesome addition to make a 'bot have fewture parosia…

The EL ropes at the joints and under panels…

The inverters seem to be a problem.

Whaddya think?

not being an artsy person really I wouldn’t go for it but the only reason I can think of for soemone who was into that type of thing would be power and weight. it’s not a lot of power or weight but it’s more. most PCs are not trying to run off of a 2000mahr battery for as long as possible between downtime charging.

Ive used these in the past by cutting the computer connectors and connecting a 9v battery clip and battery to the switch. The converter takes up a little room, but its not heavy so I can’t complain. They work good and pimp any robot chassis.

The converter is heavy or not heavy?

sorry, not heavy

Hey wher can you get those??

There simple cold cathode lights used for modding computers. I bought six pairs about 2 years ago because they’re only 7$.

We’ve used them for years. They’re cool. :stuck_out_tongue:

They’re really nice lights, however they are not very bright and should only be used for cosmetic reasons. Don’t try to use them as headlights (as I once did), you’ll still be in the dark.

Jim, don’t forget this pic off your site:

These cathode-based lights would be a good reason to get the clear or smoked lexan-based chassis for tripods… Of course you can always mount them to the top for a non-see-through chassis types like the white, yellow, and aluminum-based ones…

Those lights are pretty pimp… :stuck_out_tongue:
