Connecting to Bot Board 2

I’m having trouble connecting my botboard II with the basic micro studio software. I have a BH3_R Hexapod. It is saying that it can not locate processor. I have tried to adjust the reset hold time with no luck. Any suggestions would help.

One thing that seems weird is that when I plug in the 9vdc battery the power lights up, as well as the A,B,and C lights turn on and off continuously, is this normal?

The lights blinking is normal. This is the program on the chip from the factory.
