The existing 3D models are available in several formats, including IGES and STEP 214. Can you import either of those? Of course, if you consider switching to Alibre Design (XPress is FREE, up to 15 unique parts per assembly), most parts are avaialble in Alibre format now.

All you have to do is go to the SES 3D Model page and download the bracket(s) you want. You may as well get them all, because you will eventually need most of them. 
It would be cool if there were one archive of each format file for the entire SES 3D Model set.

You shouldn’t need an e-mail do get Alibre XPress (Trial turns into XPress when you register).

I would use Alibre except it still doesn’t run on Vista x64 and still requires installing a EOL’d MS Java machine.
So, no Alibre for me.
johndobbs1: If Alibre doesn’t work for you, I think I can convert to .dwg. I assume you mean the 3D version, right?
for some realy dumb reasopn I not able to download anything from the albre site.
I had an account a few years ago I got the username and password updated the account info but stihl wont let me download anything???
