Are you using the latest version of the Basic Atom IDE? The latest is v5.3.1.0, availalble from the Basic Micro download section.

I have download it and is will not work.
New sort cabel ( RS232 SERIAL CABEL DB9M/F 6FT)
On the new software it says the bort is not connected.
Have you tried it on a different PC?
yes the same problem.
and on a laptop i will tray to morro a powered hub i hope that helps
or some one must have a idee
What is your reset hold time set to(in the Advanced settings for the serial port in System Setup)? Also is “bort” board or port? if the software gives an error saying it can’t find the port then there is a problem with the PC. Possibly drivers or a conflict. Check the Device Manager. If it says it can’t find the board/module that is just the normal error if it can’t find the Atom. Have you specified the COM port directly or are you only trying to use the Find option in System Setup? If the later try setting the COM port explicitly.

I have specified the comport to com3 in the atom software as windows.

He only **dont **knows that the board or atom is plugt in.
Just as in the atom software as windows.

First thing change your Reset Hold Time to 25 and get back to me. I bet that fixes it.
One other thing is if you are using a USB to Serial adapter I’d change the port to something other than COM1 thru COM4. You can change this in the same window where you set the “Latency”.

And will it help that i have now install the basic micro ATOM-pro IDE 08.0.1.3
Or souns this stoepit.

Ok. I know the problem now. That is a BasicAtom module. Not a BasicAtomPro module. There are two different IDEs… One for the Atom and one for the AtomPro. You are using the AtomPro IDE. you need to download and use the Atom IDE instead.
this is the program i have runt befor.

I picture of your setup would help a lot. I take it that English is not your first language so a photo would be useful.
I’m wondering if you have the module in backwards or what you are using for power?

Possibly but unlikely. The devboards are very simple. Have you checked the chip orientation. The sticker on the module may be backwards. Also have you tried 25 for the Reset Hold Time in the this IDE as well?
