What kinds of things do you want to do with the CMUcam? The Basic ATOM and ATOM PRO are much faster so they would be able to handle anything the STAMP can do and would do it faster.
The steps required to use it with the Basic ATOM microcontroller should not be any different than for the Basic STAMP, although the code would need to be modified. The Basic ATOM is lot faster than the STAMP, so any delays would have to be redone. I think the timings are the biggest thing that would need to be changed.
I have looked at some STAMP code, and it looks real similar to Basic ATOM code. There are probably parameter differences between some of the commands too.

Yes you could interface the CMU Cam 2+ or any CMU Cam with the bot board, you would need to make a special conecter to route the signal and power to the right place. I don’t have a cmu cam so I can’t tell you exactly how that works. The BS2 should work fine. 
I make the conections and a program who send the position of the objet to the basic stamp, and, as u said, basic stamp is too slow. I only can get 3 positions per seccond.
I’m going to try with the Basic ATOM.

I remember hearing that Nick has been doing some theory programming stuff for the CMUcam2 for his college or whatever. Im sure he can help you out if hes ever online…
You may want to try the Parallax SX prossers. You would need the SX-Key.
I would say that if ur knew to programing and u cant find any support for the basic atom and the cmu. too get a zigbe or some other wireless
and use roborelm then the BS2 short commings want be such a big deal…
has anybody been working with the atom and cmu?
i think the parallax guys have done some work with the cmu but i think their cmu is different from the normal one
