Aquabot pool cleaners

Hi, I have a 15x30 above ground dish bottomed pool. I’ve been looking into getting an aquabot pool cleaner and had a few questions. Should I really be concerned in getting an aquabot that is made specifically for a dish bottomed pool? I was looking at the aquabot jr but it says it’s only good for flat bottomed pools. Is that true? Some other models like the Robo Kleen say it works on all surfaces- flat, dished etc. When comparing the jr vs. the pool rover, I don’t see too many physical differences between the two. Both are made for above ground pools but the jr is for flat bottomed and the rover is for dished. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi crgphilips,

Welcome to the RobotShop Community.

You should only be concerned in purchasing a robot pool cleaner that is specifically made for dish bottomed pools if you would like the robot to clean more than simply the pool floor. The Pool Rover is suggested for dish bottomed pool, since it was designed to be able to climb the walls of a dish bottomed pool. If you are not concerned with cleaning the walls of your pool, you can consider the Pool Rover Jr. which will concentrate on cleaning your entire pool floor.

The Robo Kleen will clean the bottom of your pool without climbing walls, as the Pool Rover Jr will. The right robot pool cleaner for you depends on your needs and wants.

The difference between the Rover and the Rover jr. is more is the programming than in the physical aspects. Both robots have few wear and tear parts, like belts and tracks. Aquaproducts simply designed two different robots for two different pool types.

Although, for dish bottomed pools we suggest the Pool Rover which will offer a greater pool coverage.

Hi,

The Pool Rover C plus is basically the same robot as the Pool Rover but, specifically made to be sold at Costco.

Please note that if you buy your robot at Costco, you will need to deal directly with Aquaproducts in USA if you do have problems with your robot. It will take a lot of your time over the phone. It is a lot easier and faster with us. We are an authorized dealer and an authorized service center.

We also offer the entire selection and accessories, all year-round. Costco does not have any accessories for your robot.

We also do the repair once the warranty is over and our clients have a 10% discount. We are the specialists.

Regards,

Great information. Thanks!

Would you know if it would be ok to use the Aquabot Pool Rover Plus C (inground model) in my above ground pool? It’s very similar to the pool rover, has wheels, climbs walls etc. Let me know what you think.
