Hello friends!!! i’m from Colombia, im newbie here, and i buyed a atom pro chip, and an ssc 32 board in the last month, and them just arrived me yesterday, when i looked at the ssc32 board , i noticed some weird things: the fist thing, is the regulator, it’s printed as -5v regulator phew… it’s not a + 5 volts regulator?
the second thing, is about the 8 pin memory and the board comes with this chip already installed! it’s something inside this chip? i just downloaded the last manual for this board, and this apparently says there’s a way to use this small memory to make sequences for general purpose (i mean to use servos in several ways such as an arm, a biped or something like that…), i think the better idea is to try to use this, but i don’t know how to read or program that memory with the lynxterm or other software… can you should give me some help with this please?
i need to post several questions here, but them are related to other topics such as the atom pro programming issues, and some compatibility issues such as different wireless controllers (for example the Genius wireless blaze, the Huskee, or other brands)
thanks for the help!!!
You are joking, right? The “-” is a hyphen, read “dash 5”, and the part is available in other voltage versions as well such as 3.3V which, you guessed it, is labeled -3.3
Fairly certain the new ssc-32 boards come with the serial eeprom chip included and the v2 firmware in the microcontroller to support them. I also think some of the software packages sold by lynxmotion allow you to store servo offsets and sequences in the eeprom now but I really have not kept on top of it much so not entirely certain. I’m sure a little light reading on the forum would bring most anybody up to speed fairly quickly.
well, about the regulator i think it can be a mistake…, but i just browse the entire site, and i can’t found any documentation to use the memory with the lynxterm…
By the way, there is no documentation of this program at all…
The EEProm is installed on the current SSC-32 V2. However you need to install the GP firmware which is found at the bottom of this page. lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx? … egoryID=52
thanks for the help, but i still have another question: it´s possible to write and read that memory from other program (i mean lynxterm or other software that not ssc sequencer?) i doing this question because i don´t purchase that software.
Yes any method of sending the commands to the SSC-32 will work. PC, Windows, Linux, Mac, Microcontroller, etc… Lynxterm is just a terminal program at it’s roots.
