GPS/GSM/GPRS Shield Will Not Connect To Network

I have the GPS/GSM/GPRS Shield featured here (GPS/GPRS/GSM Module V3.0 (SKU:TEL0051)), and after hours of fiddling with with no output whatsoever it I finally realized it’s not connecting to the network. I’ve used the example code from the wiki and followed all the instructions. I’m fairly certain it’s come down to these two things:

]I’m using an AT&T SIM card which will call/text from a phone. It may be that the shield module itself is not compatible with their tower/servers./:m]
]It’s not getting enough power/current (been using a 9V battery pack)./:m]
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

We’ve had a few people have problems with this shield when using a 9V battery. Can you try using a 9VDC or 12VDC wall adapter instead to see if that works better?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll dig one up and give that a shot.

I contacted techsupport before making this post, and got a “read the wiki” despite the fact I nearly memorized the wiki from reading it so much.
