Help finding right motor shield

Hi guys, new to this forum.

I am running a Nema 17 stepper motor using an arduino uno board, Adafruit motorshield V3 and Arduino LCD Display to control the stepper motor to turn a screw drive and open and close a door for a project of mine.

The Nema 17 I have now does not have enough torque so I’m upgrading to this Nema 17 motor: Here

]Very High Torque/:m]
]65Ncm(92oz.in) holding torque/:m]
]NEMA 17 bipolar 1.65"x1.65"x2.36" 4-wire/:m]
]1.8 deg. step angle(200 steps/rev)/:m]
]Rated current 2.1A & resistance 1.6ohms/:m]

The problem I have is the Adafruit motorsheild I have is not able to control the New Nema 17 Motor because it requires too much current so I’d like some help picking a motor shield that will work for me needs.

I have found this one but I don’t know if it will control the motor I have. Can anyone help?

Bump. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi hgibbs12

Looking at the motor, it should be able to handle the current at least free turning.
Have you tried the system without any load ?

If you want to keep a “shield” format the choices are limited.

Here are some suggestions:
Lynx Bipolar Stepper Motor Controller
TB6600 Stepper Motor Driver
MakeBlock Me 2H Microstep Stepper Motor Driver
